There comes a time in your life when you must face the big "B" word... and for me the word is "budget." After the family grant for the iMac, it's time for me to buckle down. After looking at my balance sheet from my bank account, it seems we eat out alot. So, in attempt to keep me in check and not eat out during the week - i've decided to create a weekly menu. I've had this cute little 8.5x11 paper for years with that concept in mind. I had to go dig it out of one our moving boxes. So my goal for a month is to spend $20 or less a week on lunch/dinner. Some of you may think - "that's easy," but i'm an impulsive buyer and i'm use to "if I see it, i'll buy it." So now the blog hunt begins for cheap recipes online!
I went to the University of Washington and worked for the football team there - so it was very exciting to hear my Huskies won a game yesterday. The last win came in 2007. :( Quite a drought. Washington State University (Wazzu) are the in state rivals, so to celebrate football season here's a great picture. It was from Apple Cup 2006 in Pullman. This little kid is Lincoln. He's a huge Husky fan and can name every D-1 mascot ever. Very awesome.
And to update - still no soda. Lots of sugarless kool-aid and water. My husband hates my kool-aid. :)
